I found out through a touring friend that financially to do those underplays (like lil Nas x, OR, phoebe) because they get bonuses if they sell out. With those bonuses, they could make comparable money but play to a room that is sold out hardcore fans.

just wanted to join in with everyone saying shows are too damn expensive now. i paid over 100 for 2 tickets to coheed last month and i just can't feasibly pay that and go to multiple shows a month like i was pre-covid. i paid about that for next years ville valo tour but i can at least justify that with "when will he realistically come back around"

i think Turnstile will be an arena band within a year. So much crossover appeal and Mystery is starting to blow up on rock radio.

 

Since lil baby is playing lolla he’s not on the Chicago /tinley park show as of now. Only Chris brown is listed on live nation

 

$100 per ticket or for 2 tickets total? If it's 2 tickets total that's....actually not a bad deal these days.

Friendly reminder to check and see if you can buy tickets via phone/walk-in from promoters or the venue directly. Promoter by me does no online fees, just the credit card processing fee if you call or come in. Can save anywhere from $5-$15 per ticket depending on the show.

That's fair but, just a point of comparison, tickets to Coheed's show range from $60-80 plus fees each. I get that the $100 price for 2 is a bit of a sticker shock at this point but I think that's just going to be the cost of most mid-tier shows moving forward.

 

I get there's some nuance to be had here and everyone's personal lives are different, but what would fair tickets to Coheed be? $40 each after fees? Is an extra ten per really that wild?

 

$50 + fees is about going rate for Coheed these days.
