The guitarist for this Ukranian black metal band, Mrtva Vod, is currently a Russian POW after being captured at the siege of Mariupol according to the band. His current status is unknown They're doing some fundraising for his impending medical bills and support for his family by offering the new album they just put out as NYOP on their Bandcamp here:

almost feels as something 4AD would put out if it was a metal label

from a dude in Tomb Mold I think

 

Guitarist of Tomb Mold + main guy from Innumerable Forms and way too many other bands to count. It's good shit.

 

Mizmor and thou collab is sounding amazing

Satyricon played a fashion show before (In Norway if I remember correctly), so it's not totally out of left field but cool nonetheless.

New Saor album out June 24

 

mastodon/opeth/khemmis fucking ripped last night. left a bit into mastodon because my phone died and i was hungry and ive seen them before (and the ticket was free) but they sounded good as usual. khemmis fucking ripped and i need to get into them more. mostly though i was surprised at how varied the opeth set was with some heavier tunes thrown in. it was a good set tbh from a song perspective but the visuals and the incredibly tight playing brought it to another level for me. very impressed and i havent enjoyed an opeth record for real since.. watershed? damn its really been that long. but the title track of sorceress was a huge highlight in the set to be honest with you so might revisit that one again.
