To be very clear by the way, his voice is exquisite; no umbrage is taken with the vocals themselves.

Swanfest was really special. During DGD’s set Tilian frequently had to pause and point the mic at the crowd to help him out because he was so emotional. It was very clear that the whole band was working through what happened as they were performing, and the audience I think was deeply moved that they decided to move forward so soon after Tim’s passing (I know I was). Really emotional experience.

 

Seeing all these videos on Twitter has me so mad I didn’t go especially since it’s in my backyard. Glad you had a good time!

Fortunately the band seem to be in better spirits these past few days of tour. People are saying Tilian still has to take vocal breaks mid-set, but he's still sounding good otherwise, and the rest of the band are killing it, especially Sergio.

I'm still shocked that they're managing to play at all, and I hope the rest of the tour goes well for them.

 

tilian kinda mentioned on twitter he's not doing well, probably some other stuff going on outside of the tim shit if i had to guess so dude's carrying a lot around right now. hope the tour is what he needs and can make it through.

Sounds like John has been listening to a ton of rap. I love how Tillian seems to have a clause in his contract that he only plays himself lol

 

Song is pretty good, and the structure wasn't easily identifiable through the first listen, which is cool.

Someone once told me the best way to enjoy Jon is to view him as a rapper that is more focused on flow and syllables than what he's actually saying, and I've enjoyed Jon way more when I view him in that light (not that I ever disliked him).

 

Oh yeah, I have really dug Jon's parts on these two new songs, but I am still frequently baffled and chuckle to myself when I look at his lyrics from Afterburner.
