I've got a rough cut of If I Believe You done... I'm not happy with the vocals or rhythm guitar because I recorded them as one take (singing and playing). Might dub myself doing the rhythm guitar again and then lay some fresh vox down.

My schedule is going to make the cover I want tight... at the very least I've got something to submit, and it's just okay.

 

Yeah I'm definitely in; sorry if you wanted me to check in. I'll have my song in tomorrow!

Also, I'm going to keep suggesting John Mayer. I'd be happy if we reconsidered doing FOB, TBS or another Blink one as well.

October is a tribute month... I think it'd be a cool comp to do though.

Maybe we could do October - Halloween, Nov - Tribute, Dec - Songs of 2016?

You know, instead of our current cycle of tribute, tribute, comp. Then maybe start that cycle back up again in January. That would displace our cycle by a month as well so our compilations will fall on a different month than they did in 2016. I dunno...

If there's a Halloween one I will definitely participate again with a Dead Man's Bones cover of "My Body's A Zombie For You". But I'm sure that's to come.
