Yeah it looks like interest rates would be what keeps us from selling ours and buying in a better neighborhood. We’d get enough for a good down payment but the interest rates are so high that our mortgage would be above what we’re willing to pay/probably what we can afford. Everything I’m seeing on realtor would cost us over $2000 a month even with a 20% down payment

I think a lot about how some of me and my wife’s friends have jobs where they make as much and maybe even more than our two salaries combined and it makes me really mad lol

Yuuuup. My loan on my outback is at 24.9k and the dealership I bought it from wants to buy it for like 36k. Buuuuut, I can’t find anything I want in stock if I did that.

I’m looking at a mustang Mach-e and my dad works for ford but because the market is fucked no dealership is honoring employee pricing. Even then, if any place had them in stock they’re marking them up 7.5-10k so it’s a complete wash on the money I’d make on selling my outback back to the dealership. I’ve thought about ordering a Tesla and not dealing with the hassle but the Model Ys expected delivery is 10/2022-01/2024 and I can’t be without a car that long.

I would love to get a Polestar if they made an AWD SUV. We take out dogs hiking and with the snow here we need something with a hatch and not a trunk.

Electric cars are just unattainable in Colorado rn. You need an AWD car here and they add an extra 10k to the price for electric AWD it’s bullshit

just did KBB again and saw our outback has gone up about 2 grand in value since when Ichecked two weeks ago lol

But unfortunately the local dealership doesn't have jack shit on the lot for other used outbacks (new is too expensive)

Actually just checked the dealership a little further away in Newark and they have a ton of used in stock....we could theoretically get a more recent model with less mileage on it for a similar monthly payment to what we have right now...hmm...
