Yes, I think it's obvious that Jackson was in the wrong about not disclosing it until the day before filming. I think the nuance is in the WHY he waited that long, which he explained that he was planning to wean off of it before filming, but was unable to

 

Should have said something before hopping on the flight. Yeah it’s last minute but at least you could have been on good graces with production. Now he’s likely to never come back.

 

Anyone else noticed that Jeff said that Zach was the second person voted off season 42

 

I haven't watched Survivor since the early 2000's. Just started to get back into it on Paramount+. Season 42 pretty good so far.

Yeah I was cringing hard when she immediately told THE WHOLE TRIBE about her extra vote and idol.

 

Missed the beginning because of work again, so I need to go back and watch all the challenge craziness. I felt bad for Jenny, I'm not sure she deserved that, and really stood no chance in defending herself. I'm also feeling like the show is forcing unnecessary / excessive drama? To the point where it's changing how the people would choose to play. Idk

 

I've been watching older seasons of Survivor when i've been home alone and i'm on season 33 right now and holy shit at like 4 people going down with heat stroke. This is terrifying.

 

Is that the season with Michelle or millennials v Gen x ?

Cydney went down too and was hyperventilating. It was intense. I’m finishing up this season and then finally gonna move to the current one.

 

Thread has been quiet. Just caught up with the 2 parter and it sure seemed like they worked hard to fill up those 2 hours. Boringgggg. Jeff did his best to sell us on the twist we all saw last year? Made for a little drama but not much. Can’t believe how Rocks seems to never know who is voting for who. Team Jonathan4L

 

Everyone on the subreddit was raving about the ep, but I thought it was very boring as well. Glad I'm not alone.

 

The double episode was a great episode of the show, the season has be fantastic so far, better than last

 

I mostly liked the ep, but I wish they would stop calling it “earning the merge” lol. That concept doesn’t really make sense.

 

The best thing about the episode, and why I thought it was amazing, was that for the first time in a LONG time, almost no one is sticking to tribal loyalty, people are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. It's fascinating to see the things that people are gravitating to with new alliances, what they do or don't like about others, and seeing everyone balance their personal alliances. Seeing this kind of scramble and re-organization is such a core aspect to Survivor that you miss in a lot of recent seasons

 

Survivor should be 90 minute episodes. Just don’t know how CBS would fill in those 30 minutes.
