Started working on a project with a friend tonight, really excited. Very spacy, drowned out noise rock stuff. Writing songs is so fun with another person, never done that before. Right now we're just getting some lyrics down and gathering tapes and instruments

 

Oh god lol CIWWAF came up on Pandora the other day. Hadn't heard them in years but you bet your ass I sang almost every line of "The Curse of Curves" lol.

 

I might still know every word to that song too. I played the Fueled By Ramen sampler that had that and "The Fake, the Snake, and the Birthday Cake" by Punchline to death when it came out.

 

@Jacob I keep an Excel spreadsheet. Everything is organized by date and then color coded by if I've heard it, if I liked it, etc.

 

I'll have to give this a shot. I love Excel a lot, there's something satisfying about sorting data.

 

Yeah I don't listen to anything without putting it in the spreadsheet. Which I recognize is very anal haha. But it helps me to not feel overwhelmed. And it also helps when I know I want to listen to something but not sure what. I can just look in the spreadsheet and see what new releases I haven't heard yet and focus on one or two of those

 

So... Hamburger Helper just dropped a mixtape.

 

It's going to be a Thrice kind of day at home. Starting with Vheissu and moving forward. I have a lot of unpacking to do at my new house today so I think it will be a good soundtrack for the day.

 

Listening to DIIV for the first time now. Kicking myself I left it so long

 

This is one the most ambitious covers I've heard in a long time.

I never really got into them, even though they are totally in the genre that I'm into

 

I dug the new song, personally. Thomas' vocals are different than the older stuff though.

Although he didn't scream much at all on "In The Unlikely Event"

 

I just happened to see this on Kingdom Leaks and thought it was hilarious.

 

I really hope we will get the previous AP.net EOTY top lists one day here on Chorus!

 

The Fall Of Troy coming back with a new song was a great surprise for today actually. It didn't match the level of tracks from Saosin or Thrice for me, but it's quite good!

 

Twinkle thread better be called Twinkle Dinkles
