    Holy fuck - what?!?

Tim always seemed so goddamn sweet and he’s an incredible bass player. I don’t even know him but I’m sad for those that do. What a tragic loss - I feel bummed to the max.

    RIP my guy

He toured on Happiness because he knew Kurt but when Kurt got the boot - he left - but later rejoined after Eric dipped again during the DBMII era. He actually recorded on all the Tillan records. Amazing bass player.

Yeah I've got my "Tilian Years" DGD playlist on repeat for the rest of today. He's on everything since "Acceptance Speech"

he was so talented. he contributed so much to the bouncy feeling of this bands sound, perfectly melding pop and prog. all accounts are that he was also the nicest person.

he has a bunch of amazing playthroughs on his youtube channel.

We reach for the longest shadow

We Own the Night was a real turning point for DGD's basslines. IG as a whole is a masterclass in post-hardcore bass playing.

Listening to Instant Gratification now. His playing on here is so good. The bass on some of these songs is maybe the lead part? On The Run & Shark Dad back to back is phenomenal

Such sucky news. The guy was an insane bassist and seemed lovely.

If you haven't listened to them already, he also played in a band called Wolf & Bear. Similar style to DGD.

just got out of work and first song to come up on my dgd shuffle playlist was variation. fuck man I’m still in complete disbelief. this band has been through so fucking much throughout their career and in the last year with constantly postponing the afterburner tour, constant Covid cases and cancelled shows when it finally happened, and then Matt needing to go to treatment, and now this. their resilience tells me they’ll be alright but I feel so hard for them right now

Just popping in to say how upset I am about Tim. We had a few interactions online geeking out about bass gear and then met him and talked for a while when they were on tour with Underoath a few years ago. Phenomenal bass player who really gave me so much influence in finding the perfect tone and a super nice and genuine guy. Rest in power my dude.

I’ve been in complete shock all day since I saw the news. As corny as it sounds, my fandom of this band has been a huge part of my life for many years… I’ve met so many amazing people through mutual love of DGD’s music and the whole scene, and gotten to even call one of the band members my friend. I’m absolutely devastated for everyone close to the band right now… I have several friends who knew Tim well personally, and they all describe him as such a kind and caring guy. This hits way too close to home.

I was supposed to fly to Sacramento to go to Swanfest next weekend, and it’s so gutting to think of the excitement my friends and I had just this morning even. Just heartbreaking news.

If anyone’s in Sacramento area… a good friend of mine is the one putting on this vigil tonight and if you want to join everyone is welcome.
