I don't understand why anything in here was seen as a big deal. I wasn't making a big deal out of any of it and most others weren't either.

Hope you're all having a good night.

Agreed. People having a discussion in a discussion thread.

Don’t know if it requires opinions on opinions on opinions on opinions.

Sound the Alarm is a great album.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

Sound The Alarm is pretty underrated.

  8. "Sell My Old Clothes, I'm Off To Heaven" came on on shuffle this morning, and damn, I always forget how much I love that song. That one and "Ups and Downs" are probably my 2 favorite Saves songs and they aren't even on official albums.

There's an Ups and Downs white Vinyl variant out right now for the 25th Vagrant Records anniversary

Was just curious for my Sound The Alarm listening stats. Didn't expect it to be #24 on my most listened to albums since 2005. That's pretty diesel, and I would listen to it a lot in my car in high school when I was delivering pizzas and those listens didn't count.

    Whoa, what app is this?

I have used so many different music apps in the past two decades. I wish I could see my most listened albums of all time.

This is my Last.fm which I've been using since 2005. Pretty insane to think how many apps, services, social platforms have come and gone in that time. And yet here I am still scrobbling away haha.

Two very good songs that bridge the SWYA, In Reverie, and Sound The Alarm eras.

Sound the Alarm got me through some pretty weird times after my freshman year of college.

Two of my favorites too along with "Drag in D Flat" it was always interesting to me that Sell My Old Clothes and Ups and Downs were between SWYA and In Reverie.

The amount of people that seemingly don't live in glass houses on this site and are perfect individuals is quite impressive. Most of our 'heroes' have done a lot of shitty things. We likely only know a fraction of them. Grateful for this thread reviving talk on Sound the Alarm. Haven't listened in years. Great album.

I have a misprinted copy which I feel super lucky to have haha. This Is Not An Exit and Freakish are swapped on the sleeve. Song order on the record itself is correct though.

    Oh fuck yeah, blast off!

I was gonna push back on that first statement a little bit but then had a vivid flashback to when I showed a slight bit of sympathy for Chris due to his alcoholism last year and got told the disease of addiction isn’t a factor in bad/abusive behavior, despite the defining characteristic of the disease being that it completely hijacks and rewires your brain in a way that elicits behaviors you normally wouldn’t see from someone, and it made me internalize the fact that I must just be a worthless junkie to my core no matter how much I tried to get clean and do right and that’s all I would ever be. two days later I was back in rehab. so yeah fuck em. Maybe that’s just me and my own shit but the way these issues are discussed has gone nowhere in the past however many years and the circular arguments in every thread are growing tired and I know I’m not the only one who feels the same way. That’s not to say there’s no space for productive, thoughtful discourse but I wouldn’t describe anything I’ve seen on this website as thoughtful for quite sometime. /shrug don’t mean to bitch about it and bring up old shit but I remembered it was specifically the saves the day shit that triggered it.
