All jokes aside, it's so weird to me that the population in that city is like 4K people. I get that most of it is offices, retail and industrial buildings but it still doesn't sound right when I think about it.

Fitz & the Tantrums are out.. Chicago area show in August, not that I ever imagined Riot booking them again

I’m telling y’all, Carly Rae Jepsen is gonna get Fitz and the Tantrums’ 2016 spot before Fitz and the Tanrums ever gets that spot again

Alice Cooper is out, tour announced and has dates each day of riot.

he and joan jett are my 2 'classic rock' bucket list acts, so maybe next year

Just came in here to post this! Alice Cooper is kinda slept on as far as a potential Riot act every year, TBH.

Just realized HWM has dates Riot weekend which means they're out as are Bouncing Souls and Flatliners which is a bummer

Wu Tang Clan and Nas have a date in NC during Riot weekend, its on Sunday but I will rule them out.

Melvins announced a tour in June/July with no Chicago date. They played Chicago in March with Ministry, but they are repeating a couple of cities in this new tour.

They have never played Riot and I think they would be a cool addition to the line-up.

  13. I don't know a ton about Melvins but I'm legitimately surprised they've never played.

this may be toooo leftfield, (which could mean it may be crazy enough to work) but Ringo Starr (and his all starr band) announced a huuuge tour with no chicago date. Broken up into 2 legs, the 2nd leg starts the week after riot... Colin Hay is in the band and id love to see him perform (even if its not his stuff).

edit - after googling some of the smaller cities, looks like New Buffalo, MI could be the chicago date? about an hour &15 away, but also technically 2 states over, haha

There is no timeline in which Ringo Starr ever plays Riot Fest, regardless of his tour routing.

    What the heck

Ringo Starr playing the casino in New Buffalo (my family has a summer home near there) is wild, might have to make a trip there to see him haha

Also I cannot see him playing in any way

With the new docuseries that just came out The Beatles would make a lot of sense

First, Paul annonced a tour with no Chicago date, now Ringo does the same. Everything make sense now.
