Speaking of Malignant… I laughed entirely too hard at this.

 

My watchlist just grew significantly. Some great looking lesser known movies in the nominee lists for these!

 

Hoping X comes out on VOD soon. I want to see it but it’s only show at 9PM which is way too late for my old ass on a weeknight.

 

Going to see X again this week

 

I really wish I had time to stay through the credits so I could see the preview for Pearl. But yeah, I'm looking forward to watching it again also.

 

I think it was floating around on youtube at one point but not sure if it's still available.

Just watched the Insidious movies for the first time. Overall they were interesting. I liked that they make Elise the main character for 3/4. I feel like it’s rare for an older woman to be a lead in movies.

 

Would you agree that the third is the best one?

 

Man, I liked the first but remember really not liking the second, so I didn't move forward. Maybe I should revisit.

1>3>2 ...the first one is so incredibly effective.

 

1 is great. Just like The Conjuring the sequels get too ridiculous though Conjuring 2 has its moments.

 

I remember really enjoying Insidious, but if I saw anything after, I don't really recall. It introduced me to Ludovico Einaudi and it had that sequence with the little boy hiding in plain sight while the mom is like doing household chores that I never caught and then it blew my mind watching it back on youtube haha

 

I felt like the music was really heavy handed in the first one to a distracting level that the other films didn’t do.

 

The music is my favorite part of the film! Haha... I do agree though, it's pretty aggressive.

Cursed Films S2 launched on Shudder with a Wizard of Oz ep. I enjoyed the first season.

Edit: Wow I didn't realize so many heavy hitters also dropped on Shudder! Evil Dead 2, Halloween 2 and 3, Candyman, The Funhouse, Eaten Alive, Trick r Treat, The Fog

I highly suggest watching Vicious Fun on Shudder. This is great.
