This is your life, are you who you want to be?

Dude how did you find these guys?! I cant remember the last time I sat and listened through a new song/band and was completely enamored and pleased with every aspect of the song. The vocals, the drums, the guitar tones, production. Everything so wonderfully placed.

These guys are going to be hugeeeeee.

A Spotify "Fans also like" section rabbit-hole.

And yeah I'm already dying for a full-length. Hopefully they neglect every single other aspect of their lives and get it out as soon as possible.

Surprised they're not on a label. Will Yip did the mastering on the EP.

    not dead yet.

I don't know if this is allowed (if not, i'll delete) but i just released my latest EP. It's post-rock in the vein of Explosions In The Sky and Mogwai.

  11. gimme some melancholic shit from this year because I need to hear some stuff that reflects how the inside of my head has been for four months. I don't listen to anywhere near as much post-rock stuff as I used to.

How'd you enjoy it? It looked very new album heavy from setlist.fm. I'll have to check out this tour. I've only really been into MONO since Requiem for Hell so this kind of setlist is my ideal outcome.

Incredible performance and also incredibly loud. Wish I had remembered my earplugs, especially when one of the guitarists started screaming into his guitar during a lot of distorted feedback at the end of the set. Felt like I was taking one of those hearing tests listening to high-pitched frequencies, except this one was very loud lmao

Really really great set though. This was my second time seeing them and they were fucking awesome. New songs sounded great, but Halcyon was easily the highlight

Glad you enjoyed! I'll definitely try and catch them this tour.

I remember I went to see them in a tiny little pub on a whim when I was first getting in to post-rock music back in 2009 and I think I set my hearing back by about 5 years. I ignored the bands for years out of anger for how many days my ears were ringing.

They eventually won me back when they headlined the first ArcTanGent festival, but I positioned myself very far away from the stage just in case. They've now become one of those bands I will 100% see if they pass through the UK. They are just a whole different beast live.

We reach for the longest shadow

My word, I don't frequent this thread but came in here randomly and listened to this and LOVED it. The vocalist reminded me of the guy from Dredg at points? Hadn't thought of that band in a while.

Might see Godspeed on Saturday for my first time. I barely listen to them anymore, but seems like the type of band you just have to see

Report back on MONO. They’ll be here on Sunday and I’m torn on whether or not I should go.

I’m still a big fan of theirs, but I absolutely recommend their live show. Just remember to take earplugs.
