"Xavi Ball" actually working/the 4-0 Madrid result seems to have tipped A LOT of mentalities on the renewals/signings.

 

Really interesting post where you can watch clubs expenditure during the PL era. Watching Chelsea blow everyone away and then Man City spent Everton's 30 year budget in a few seasons is wild.

Still staggering the extent to which they immediately dwarfed everyone else's spending. Rich owners had taken over clubs like that before but never on that scale. It was ridiculous.
