    It’s possible that the tigers’ fo got a good sense that the Rays really wanted to offload Meadows and didn’t fall into some of those typical trappings lol

    and what’s more surprising than the return from the tigers was that the offers from the other teams the Rays were dealing with must have been horrible

    I mean, Meadows is primarily a dh who can be pretty weak against lefties, but you’re telling me the Phillies wouldn’t give up something equitable or better for a power hitting OF/DH?

    As always, I’m sure the Rays see something in Paredes that many of us don’t (even if it’s as a future trade piece)

    It really wouldn’t make sense considering the outfield logjam that they still have despite the Meadows departure since they seem poised to call up jLowe (not announced by team yet)
