I mean, I play other Zelda games, I’d just discuss those in the BOTW thread if I felt like it. The other games, I just can’t think of one that’s id talk about really. Luigi’s mansion 3 was fun, but I don’t know why I’d say about it beyond that.

I only have a switch and just don’t play many games. It is what it is, no negative vibes to those who are in that thread! Just not for me.

Once again proving that the internet is not always a microcosm of the real world.

Huge drop from Thursday/Friday into Saturday, is that normal? Or a sign that "diehards" made up most of the $39 million domestic number?

I think the second week drop will be massive, percentage wise. It’s made enough that Sony will surely continue giving us more mediocre boring movies.

To be fair, it made about what "The Lost City" made in its first weekend in the US, which is pretty subpar for a Marvel movie. I don't think there was any doubt it wouldn't be at least slightly successful internationally.

Interviewer: Okay sure, but there’s nothing in the movie that establishes that Morbius has any beef with Spider-Man whatsoever, though.

Espinosa: Oh, exactly. I think that’s more one of those scenes that are made that when you have scenes before that in a movie comes along, that will explain that reposition.

i have no idea what the fuck that means

also, since Leto wouldn’t break character on set when he was playing normal Michael, every time he needed a pee break he would slowly limp back and forth slowing the entire production down. It was such an issue that they decided to bring in a wheel chair and have someone push him there and back. Imagine being the person in charge of wheeling him back and forth. “How was work today, honey?” “Oh, I just wheeled around a fully physically capable person to the bathroom a few times. Hollywood, baby!”

I'm pretty bummed to see how harshly this was reviewed as I thought it looked pretty cool. The audience score is decent on rotten tomatoes so maybe it's not that bad. Seems like ya'll are generally trashing it here though (glancing over comments to avoid spoilers).

I'll probably still see it as im a weirdo who still likes to go the movies regularly and it's gotta be super mega trash for me to regret spending $20 on a Friday night for the experience.

I generally walk out of a movie theater feeling pretty positive, I think the presentation colors my view a bit until I step back a little bit from the experience. However, partly through Venom 2 I looked at my fiancé and said “this movie sucks right?” And she agreed. Only movie I’ve truly regretted seeing.

I even gave Rise of Skywalker 3.5/5 on Letterboxd because that was my immediate feeling (after seeing it in Dolby), I tried rewatching at home about a year later and couldn’t finish it. But I won’t delete my prior rating lol.

I think he's trying to imply that there's going to be another movie that will explain what happened? Which could just be his way of saying he doesn't know what the fuck happened and now that's someone else's job to figure out.

Anyway, I'm impressed a little by how directly confrontational that interviewer is being. I'm here for it.

I don’t blame you! I don’t take offense to that lol I liked Venom 1 but 2 just did not work for me at all.

I didn't think Venom 2 was a very good movie but it was a massive improvement over Venom 1 in pretty much every discernible way

In what way? I'm not trying to argue against you or anything, I haven't watched 1 since it came out. What am I missing here lol

It was coherent, you could see what was going on in it visually, it wasn't edited in a way that created weird timeline inconsistencies and other issues, it was intentionally trying to be funny, the final battle sequence was actually well-done, no shitty Eminem song, etc.

Honestly, it seems only 3 of us have seen it and really trashed it. I was the first to post after seeing it, maybe read from there on once you’ve seen it. There are more posts about me not posting in the video game thread than there are posts about the actual movie. My post was more than fair to the movie and I even pushed back on a couple common complaints from the reviews.

a lot of us like going to the theaters still. You’re not a weirdo. I have Regal Unlimited, I’ve already seen over 20 movies on it, so this was free for me.

my god I’m jealous that Venom 2 is the worst movie you’ve seen. I’ve seen so much pure garbage and have some regrets. Venom 2 is nowhere near that level for me.

    TROS is a 0/5 movie.
he definitely doesn’t know haha and yea, it’s funny the guy loves the director so much he is adamant that this trash movie isn’t his fault.

yea, 2 leaned into what worked in 1. Definitely a step up.

Admittedly I'm not the most critically-minded person but I don't remember feeling like there were gigantic issues with Venom 1 aside from the muddy final battle (which I also thought was a problem in 2) and the bad Eminem song (because I don't think there are good Eminem songs) but idk, 2 just didn't work for me! I was not into this portrayal of Carnage at all.

I don't want to veer from the purpose of this thread more, I'll just keep my Venom opinions to myself lol
