Random question but does anyone have RIYL bands for the Stay on My Side Tonight EP? I looooove the vibe of those songs and would have loved a full album in that direction

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

The Cure - Disintegration feels like a clear recommendation here

It's supposed to snow pretty hard here tonight in the valley, I'm starting to think the roads are going to be too bad to make it to the show tomorrow. Please no.

    Things have changed.

It's just the same design as the admat, listing both bands.

Jim does a guest solo on this new song from Useless ID's Yotam Ben Horin:

When I got into Flying Blanket Studios (Mesa, AZ) in April of 2021, I let my friend Jim Adkins know that I was in town and he offered to stop by the studio and say hi since he and producer Bob Hoag are also friends. While we were trying to figure out which day would be best for him to come over, I asked him about the arrangement of the song "Young Forever" since it didn’t have a bridge and was really short. He put it all together really quickly over the phone and we went ahead and recorded it with his suggestions. When he showed up at the studio, I just had to put a guitar on his lap and have him play something.

I think he’s on the new onelinedrawing album too out in June, but I’m guessing it’s a musical contribution and not a vocal one.

Thank you for the correction. Zach. Cool to see the Jimmy guys helping out. Also, we can now definitely assume it a musical contribution and not vocals (unless Zach has been holding back his lead vocal skills).

Potentially weird question but is Jim a runner, does anyone know? The guy has really leaned out in a really healthy looking way. Reminds me of Ben Gibbards transformation a bit which makes me think of running. Either way, good for him!

I revisited Damage. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would these days. Still wish the production was better though.

I also still hope we get a Phoenix sessions of Invented, Damage, and Chase This Light.

Agreed and agreed. I think an eventual Phoenix Session type keepsake for every album would be very cool. Yep know it was done as a means to an end with touring being cancelled, but if the financials make sense I hope they do it sometime after touring a new album (which they are working on) between album cycles to give us something fun again.
