a positive from raw: i think brock handled the WHAT chants very well. put over austin... put over himself just a bit higher than austin, and kept the promo rollin. not sure if any of that promo was written, but he seems alot more comfortable on the mic when he's just being himself.

now that i remember... so did roman. he thinks he can smash austin? i'd like to see him try.

another: that segment with becky and bianca. maaaaaan... the black wrestling community will lose their collective shit if becky (or anyone, tbh) legit cut bianca's hair off. i know ronda's main evening night one because she won the rumble, but damn, i want to see night one end with bianca/becky. maybe have ronda/charlotte open the show??

 

Pretty sure KO v Austin is main eventing night 1. Honestly, with how soft the card is, I can see Becky v Bianca opening unless they put the New Day match there

 

Raw has been unwatchable for like nearly a decade.

 

I liked it in 2013/2014 during the Bryan vs The Authority feud leading up WM30. That's what got me back into wrestling. I stook around for a few years after that but when the Brands split again in 2016 i stopped watching regularly, the first brand split is what made me stop watching as a kid too. Have only watched Raw in full maybe 10-ish times in 6 years.

 

I mean, the 3hrs is brutal, but usually there was at least an hour of useful stuff on there. When I got back into it leading up to WM32 through the brand split, there were usually at least two titles feuds going well.

Absolutely nothing is clicking right now

 

Mania 32 was a half decade ago and 2013/2014 was basically a full decade ago. I watched for so much longer than I should simply from a lack of options.

 

You know it’s a shame that Roman is in wwe because the turn around he’s had is amazing and I feel like it’s not talked about enough because of the promotion he works for

 

Agreed and aside from the unification of the belts and the possibility of Austin wresting, there is not one thing I’m excited for on this Mania card.

It’s all been there done that stuff on Raw, no freshness anywhere. Even guys that are supposed to be excited feel like some old washed up concept.

 

Fightful AEW stuff

- They’re extremely interested in Toni Storm and talent have been pushing for it

- Nixon Newell has visa issues

- Very little talk of AEW bringing in Athena. There’s no urgency to bring her in

 

So who could be debuting tomorrow?

THE RETURN OF BRANDI

 

I suspect we'll get more clarity on the rumors tonight/tomorrow morning now that her no compete is up. They very rarely keep anything a pure secret, and TK seems to avoid mentioning people under contract with other companies til their deal is up

 

Seriously, once it became 3 hours the bar we all had naturally set for a 'good show' was so low. All we would hope for was a good match/segment or two and a surprise if we were lucky. Had to accept that 80 percent of the show would be shit usually.

 

Von Wagner is so uninteresting

Roderick Strong looks so slim

 

Never thought I’d say this when I first saw Wendy Choo but I hope they didn’t kill her off (again). She nailed such a silly gimmick.

 

The ladder match is going to be so much fun.

 

I might have already said this but you cannot convince me that Mean Mark Callous and Seth Rogens character in Pam and Tommy aren’t the same person

 

Rather than have a singles match for the womens belt, they took the Dusty winners and made it a Fatal four-way. Definitely some peak WWE booking
