I feel like Halsey will be pissed about that too & say something about it during her set lol

  2. The grounds stage headliners seem staggered a little better than usual this year, but yeah, always going to be a conflict with the amphitheater.

It seems like Summerfest did a much better job of spreading the acts out throughout the day than they have in some years. Illuminati Hotties, Parquet Courts, and Death Cab For Cutie for $20 is very likely too good for me to pass up.

And 7/2 has some fun stuff during the day and a solid group of headliners to choose from.

  4. That was always my second biggest complaint about this festival (after the awful parking situation at the end of the night).

  5. Echoing the love for Summerfest 7/9

    1:45 - Illuminati Hotties
    3:30 - Bob Mould
    5:30 - Dry Cleaning
    7:30 - Parquet Courts
    9:30 - Death Cab

and plenty of time to chill or check out some others.
What's the fest environment like for this?

Haha ya getting out is a nightmare whether you drive there or not (either so much traffic or a long walk to get out of the area). Still... hard to complain for the price haha

That As I Lay Dying tour coming to The Rust Belt in the Quad Cities is disappointing. The guy who runs that is the guy who used to run Daytrotter. Maybe he's not involved anymore but it's disappointing to see him booking them if he still is.

Pretty laid back. Most/a lot of the stages have rows of GA benches - can be a downside if you end up behind those and people are standing on the benches but there's also a ton of open area. Definitely has a different feel than a typical festival and a lot more people just there kind of a hanging out. But it's always been a good time when I've gone

TBS at 930 and overlapping with 3EB at 10 sucks, at least I’ll be able catch the tail end of 3EB. But majorly pumped that I’ll finally see Lit after 23 years ha… was a massive fan in the early 00s. Will probably also check out BoDeans, Village People, and War.

  13. honestly jealous that Lit is doing shows this summer but nothing near me. i've also been a fan forever but haven't seen them yet.

Eve 6 is on that same festival, no idea if that means they are touring though

Not that it's surprising but definitely a good call in terms of Foo dates. Can't imagine trying to get someone else and find chemistry with a new drummer while they're all in the throws of grief.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Yeah if they decided to power through and do the dates, that definitely would’ve been odd. I just hope they all have the time/space to heal now
