Just ordered a Squier CV 70s jazz bass and a Fender Rumble 25. I’ve been wanting a bass forever and feel like I’ve plateaued on guitar for a little while so I’m really excited to start digging into bass.

what kind of deluxe is this? I got a newer one a few months ago. I like it! I’d like to put proper wide ranges in it, but the stock ones are pretty cool

This is a 2007 '72 Deluxe Reissue in Walnut finish.

Very cool guitars for the money. I'm not a traditional Les Paul kinda guy because they're very uncomfortable to play. This, to me, is Fender's closest thing to a LP but still has that Fender character. These reissues don't have true WR pickups becuase they're made with alnico magnets. They still sound great though. Wide Range pickups are very unique in general. They can do a lot, they look sick, and are underrated. Which one did you get?

I believe they're just humbuckers hiding in larger covers as well. They're not the true wide range construction on those.

I've got a Creamery humbucker sized one in my strat. It's got such a lovely open sound about it.

Those sound great. Some day I might actually try Lollar's Wide Range pickups. Might just start with the a bridge pickup since they're so damn expensive lol.

I got a pretty good local deal on a road worn vintera. Road worn wouldn’t have been a preference but I’m finding I don’t mind it and I’m pretty rough on my guitars anyway so it’ll be my own brand of disheveled soon enough.

The neck is very thin, closer to a 70’s strat I have than a big C neck tele I have. It’s a nice neck, the distressed back actually feels great. I kept pulling it out of tune when I got it, bit of an adjustment there.

I bought the guitar intending to put real wide ranges (probably Creamery) in, I’d still like to do that, but the stock pickups are cooler than expected, kind of a burly sound; lots of mid range activity, particularly around 500-800hz.

I actually like the neck on mine and it’s glossed. It’s definitely worn in though and I forget it’s glossed. It’s a thinner feel but it feels great with three straight 12” radius.

I changed to pots attached to the stock pickups too. Put 500k CTS in and it helps out greatly. Especially for the style of music I play. They don’t sound as thin.

I love the road worn series. The necks feel pretty great on them. Super cool you like them one you have. I haven’t tried one of them yet.

Thinking of selling my 2005 MIK Lite Ash Tele and figured I'd see if anyone in here wanted to give it a new home, super cool unique guitar just never play it and want to pick up a Princeton Reverb

Was amp hunting at my local shop and picked up this little guy,
WOW what a pedal. Strat -> Keeley compressor -> Tumnas into a tweed blues JR sounds amazing

Yesss I love klones. It is wild how much better it makes any other distortion pedal sound if you have it on as the last pedal in your chain

Oh 100%, been running a TS9 before the compressor then into the Tumnas and it gives the tube screamer a whole new sound, love it

I've been pondering a Tumnus for ages, but I already have too many drives on my board, considering what a simpleton I am.

I have a few pedals but I’m definitely more of a straight into the amp kinda guy. I love my Boss DD3 though haha.

Also, Here’s another new build I just finished. The neck needed a lot of fret work to get it feeling right.

I currently have six, but two more are on the way and in progress. All are builds except for one. I end up selling most of them, but the ones I currently have are ones i've kept for awhile.

I have dozens of pedals but i find these days i really don’t use anything besides a super overdrive and a color option, usually a phase 90 or ibanez flange.

the curiosities are cool but stuff like blue boxes and whammy pedals spend way more time in a box of pedals than on the floor

I did get really into using the longest dd-5 setting for lengthy drone sessions for a while
