Umma didn’t come to my theater. Guess I’ll have to wait to see it.

Is there a reason that Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness change it so that it was only Ash and Linda that went to the cabin?

Rights issues with the original movie, I believe.
So they did a quick redo to get people up to speed.

That was interesting, but doesn’t address the change I asked about.

I started rewatching the Resident Evil movies because I thought all of them just got added to hbo max… only to realize as I start the 4th one that the 6th one is not on there. Sigh. Really wish streaming services could figure out how to keep franchises together. Oh well.

anyway, I find these movies enjoyable for how bizarre some choices are. They’re not good. But I often laugh out loud at many moments.

That was me with Phantasm 2 for years. Peacock came through but it literally only lasted like a month on there.

  10. The trailer for the X prequel after the credits was awesome. I almost missed it. Apparently the prequel has already been shot. No release date yet though.

Seeing X on Tuesday and I can’t lie, I’m especially thrilled based on what I’ve read so far.

I found it on Tubi. Which I’ve heard of but know nothing about. But it’s free it seems. So that’s cool. It’s the only one I’ve never seen, supposedly. I have really vivid memories of stuff from the 4th, but I thought I’d only seen them from reviews from red letter media or someone. I didn’t really remember the 5th one either, except the early suburbia scene. But at some point I marked them as viewed on IMDb. So I guess I watched them? I know for sure I never saw 6. And looking at the release year, it wasn’t even when I was poor and splurging for a movie meant Redbox. So I’m not sure how I completely missed it.

  16. Saw Dream Home get praised a couple times on my twitter timeline, so I decided to check it out on Shudder. It was... pretty wild. Some really creative/brutal kills.

Holy shit, Slender Man was a massive pile of garbage.

  18. Just watched X. I practically went in blind, but I'm glad I saw the post on here about the post-credits trailer. I missed the first ten minutes or so of the movie so I didn't catch anyone's names haha. Third act was wild.

I know things happen out of our control. But I can’t imagine being 10 minutes late for a start of a movie. Which really means you’re like 25-35 minutes late because of all the trailers.

for context, my dad died when I was 12 so it was just my mom with us 3 kids. It made getting us and picking up from places complicated at times. She did her best but my mom was constantly late. So many times with me being the last one to be picked up. Church events where it would just be me and the youth pastor sitting there waiting. It drove me absolutely nuts. As soon as I could drive I said I would never ever be late to anything. People would never be waiting on me again. And that’s still true to this day. Coworkers and friends know that if I’m late or don’t show up something is terribly wrong. I am always early, on time is late, late without an emergency is inexcusable.

so with that said, knowing this is more about me and my baggage, how do you show up so late to a movie? Haha is just go to a different or later screening at that point.

  20. It doesn't happen often. Today I made some unexpected purchases while browsing at the mall next to the theater, then checkout took forever because they closed the second floor registers so I had to go up to the third and there was only two people working.

I missed the first ten minutes of Into the Spider-Verse the first time because I was taking multiple forms of public transit to get there. But that's okay because I went to see it again two more times and then bought it and watched the dvd two more times.

Being late is one of my biggest nightmares. I can’t handle it. Again, way more about me than you.

I’ve been slacking in my horror movie watching lately. But I watched X on Sunday and Willy’s Wonderland today. X was awesome. WW was totally fun and cheesy. The whole movie I was waiting for Cage to say one word, but nope. Amazing.
