I didn't recognise The Cure For Pain in the first one but the other ones are clearly the closer of each album.
I got excited to quickly.

My guess is that the band is dissolving to soil on Friday. This is the end

 

they don't seem like the kind of band to do a best-of

Yeah, reading into it (maybe too much) having each post go up on the release date of each albums but showcasing the final song on each album, going chronologically from LP1 to LP7 - feels very much like moving into "the end" portion of "The Beginning of the End"* as they've sort of branded this closing era.

So I think it's pretty good odds that it'll be the final tour announcement. Would also expect there to be new merch, but I'm thinking they'll hold back on the Ten Stories collectors edition...the rerecordings of these final tracks make speculation of some sort of live album release a possibility, but I'm personally not going to get my hopes up for that (in hopes of being surprised).

* Always think about Aaron reciting "This is the beginning and the end, the rise and the fall..." at the opening to Forgive Durden's Razia's Shadow every time I remember that's how they've branded this era - almost certainly unintentional but still a fun coincidence!

Has anyone gone to the make up shows? I know there isn’t an opener for these shows but I’m curious as to what time mwY went on.

 

Mike seems to love making teasers/promos. I feel like anything more than the tour announcement feels unlikely

Some overthinking to distract from the reality of being close to “the end.”

Historically with these week-long teases it’s around now when they also add “midnight” to the videos in addition to pointing to the website. At the very latest they’d need to have that in tomorrow’s video (which should be up at 6:10 tomorrow morning). BUT not only does that feel like shorter “notice” than usual (since it’s midnight that evening) it also means we don’t get a video for [Untitled], or it would come after the midnight reveal.

So my guess is no midnight reveal this time around, and the last video drop (10:05 on Friday morning) will coincide with the reveal of whatever this ends up being. If they DON’T put a time (midnight or otherwise) in tomorrow’s video that’s my best guess.

 

They were absolutely incredible last night.

it'd been so long since i been to a show, glad i was able to come out of retirement and enjoy

 

I sure was. Seeing them groove to the sun and the moon was the highlight.

I drove from Sacramento (which is getting increasingly harder to do) so I hope this wasn’t the last time I see them

 

oh shit, that's a gd trek right there! i used to think driving out from Fairfield was arduous lol

 

Went to the LA show and it was magic. Talented musicians, each in their respective roles. Aaron sounds so great live.
