Same for me, on listen #3.

Much of this felt a little generic the first couple of times, but with the chance to listen both more and less intently because I'm familiar with it now, I'm hearing so much. It probably won't crack my top 10 for the year, but I can tell it'll get a lot of play.

 

I hear a lot of Conor Oberst on this

 

he does remind me of a less baroque and more pop-punk version of bright eyes sometimes

 

Sad the splatter variant was sold out but I went with the /200 variant instead

 

how did I not know about this. lets go. first listen engage

 

Man God damn did that kid have soul. Spent a day and a half with him and went to a few concerts with him, such a shining light of a person. RIP.

Also, after third listen, this could be my AOTY. I thought it was "subtle" but the emotion in here just grabs me and the best music has something you just can't put your finger on but you just know is there.

 

Long Beach, NY getting love from Pitchfork again in the Best New Music review. We really just love to see it.

Definitely sinks in more on subsequent listens as you can hear more of the lyrics.

definitely a grower of an album.

 

"carousel" now has "tav world" tacked onto the end of it on Spotify, in case anyone hasn't heard it yet. Don't get too excited though haha

 

God can’t stop listening. Parts of this remind me of some of the best parts of Vacation

All Love honestly reminds me of the looser moments of the recent Dijon album, Absolutely. very different lane, but the sound of things clinking around in the background and chatter and stuff and the kinda mumbly vocal delivery against the dusky, loose acoustic guitar really kinda drives home those same vibes

 

god this is the best album ever

 

fly on the wall is my favorite track on this. Just brilliant stuff.

 

The guitar at the end of give a fork is one of my fav moments

 

this and the new caracara album have got me feeling like a teenage emo kid again i fucking swear

 

I for some reason get slight Dandelion Wine vibes with the guitars from Carousel

 

God the Gatorade song is annoying AF. How do I get it removed from Spotify.

 

I find the Gatorade song funny/charming in the context of the album
