Are we sure it’s a “Godzilla vs Kong” sequel or just a monsterverse sequel?

 

I think it's just meant to be a Monsterverse sequel and they're only calling it a Godzilla vs. Kong sequel because it was the most recent film in the series.

 

Could be the Son of Kong film.

I don’t think the filming location for the AppleTV+ show has been announced, but I doubt this it is if it’s a “movie.”

 

I don't want GvK again. I'd rater have Zilla fight Gigan.

If you read the article, it's pretty clear they're only using GvK2 as a placeholder because they don't know what else to call it and clickbait.

 

The article states "Per usual, plot details are being kept under wraps, other than following the film’s larger-than-life monsters and then preparing for their next battle against each other."

I take that as this being a GvK film.

 

I'm pretty sure no plot details have been announced at all and that's just them saying what anyone else would say about the plot of the movie. I mean, it is monsters battling each other.

Actually, going back to your original post, I guess I interpreted your comment more as you asking if it was pitting Godzilla against Kong again, which I'm sure they're both going to be involved, but not necessarily enemies.

I don't think they're going to do separate Godzilla and Kong movies again, but who knows.

 

I'd be fine with a movie featuring both of them so long as they don't fight. I think that is too soon.

And, yeah, after the success of GvK I don't expect any major solo films, unfortunately.
