Got today’s Weezle. Is the sound of Spring cheesy songs with ukelele-ish strumming? Lol.

He snuck in 45 seconds of pretty rad Weezer moments in 3-4 of the tracks. But they’re surrounded by what sounds like the Black album with clear, bright production and that tinny strumming. #notforme

They’ve done it again! Love all the songs.

Angels on Vacation was my fave on first listen, the bridge was incredible. The Garden of Eden and Wild at Heart (those last ten seconds!!!) are other early favourites. A Little Bit of Love also hit hard this time, whereas I hadn’t really been into it over the last few days. So fun!!

The production is so immersive, I was dancing around my apartment the whole time. Definitely an album that will be tied to the season!

the opener makes me think of the time I watched some shakespeare with rivers back in 2015

this is.. aight. kinda sounds like some Rivers demos they produced pretty quick to meet the release date lmao. first song is like a community theatre production of that Adjy album, not in a good way. Angels on Vacation and Sound of Drums are highlights but still pretty middle tier for Weezer. pretty shaky start for SZNZ overall

  17. Don't hate the opening track, the chorus is good and pretty quintessential Weezer

  18. "Angels on Vacation" is good, would feel right at home on the White Album. Maybe they just released a bunk single

    Just like adamandeve

This feels like a fusion of the White Album and Make Believe. Definitely a little corny (it's Weezer lol) but I don't hate it. None of the songs are a total miss, so there's a good chance it will grow on me.

    Ayayayay

  20. Quadruple post - briefly considered the vinyl, but I can't do $8 shipping ($30 total) on 8 songs lol. If the other EPs scratch the itch, I'll grab the box set.

On first listen I thought it was just okay, nothing really jumped out to me on first listen like what usually happens with Weezer albums. It definitely does a good job keeping a Spring aesthetic for the whole thing though, and I could easily see it growing on me. Favorite on first listen was probably All This Love

    hmmm

Started Opening Night saying "oh no" and ended it with a smile on my face.

This was a fun way to spend twenty minutes. Most new Weezer records now I just enjoy one or two listens and never return to them, and I'm fine with that.

I'm gonna start taking bets that the vinyl bonus tracks are gonna be the best song on each EP

I want to REALLY like it, but I guess Im disappointed in it, somewhat. :(

I'll give it more listens but I did like the first single, but the rest... :/

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Little Bit Of Love made me think I'd be underwhelmed (not that it's bad) but I'm loving the rest of this. Angels On Vacation and The Sound Of Drums especially
