Out of all the breakup shows I've gone to, this one hit the hardest.

 

such an amazing live band too. wow their record isn't that old either. i guess it just didn't do as well as they needed it too?

 

Glad I got to see them last month

 

Sad. I never saw them, but Annina is one of my favorite songs ever and it's devastating to think I'll never see it live.

 

That's what I was thinking too. Really blows though they are great

 

Thrilled I got to see them twice, including last year with a bunch of fine Chorus folk. TFIC remains one of my favorite albums of the decade.

Very intrigued by this. I hope it's as good as Little Wounds was. The Mountains and St. John are really really good.

 

as much as i hate to say it, that's not surprising at all. bobby has been pretty candid in the past about them being on the verge of breaking up several times. at least it sounds like it was amicable. i'll spin the future is cancelled later today in their honor.

I wrote a bit here about Bobby's solo stuff. Bummed that CWS are done, but I can't wait for his new stuff, wouldn't be surprised if some CWS members are involved since it's gonna be full-band/

Bobby Barnett hinted very strongly about a Captain We’re Sinking reunion on Twitter today, as well as confirming a summer release for his next solo album.
