Me neither. I think it's a shame that the role will end with Boseman. I understand wanting to honor him by not having someone replace him in the role, but does that really honor his memory by having the role vanish after he did so much work to bring it to life? I don't think there's an easy or right answer to this.

 

I’m pretty confident that a new T’Challa will appear eventually, but he will be a variant and that’s how Marvel will “recast.”

Same with Tony and Steve. If the MCU continues after Secret Wars I see them taking that opportunity. That way audiences will understand why the new actors will be different. No one will expect a Boseman, Downey Jr., or Evans copy because they’ll see that the new characters are variants with their own unique personalities from another universe.

 

I really hope they don't do a new Stark or a new Steve. There are so many characters left in the MCU and so many that haven't been introduced. There's really no need to bring either of them back right now, especially when we already have characters filling their role. It would be unnecessary.

 

There are many characters but do we really want to never see a live action Iron Man and Captain America interact with Fantastic Four and X-Men? I’m not talking a few years from now. I mean 8 - 10 years from now once the Secret Wars arc is finished. Sort of like a soft reboot within the MCU. Have new variants explore new arcs and stories from characters that have went away in the main universe. Not as main characters that their own films, but side characters that are involved with whatever ensemble films are still going on.

Secret Wars would be a good place to end the MCU, imo, but if the money is still rolling and there are still stories for the new franchises then I don’t see it ending around that time.

At least do it for a new version of T’Challa.

 

Wild. I'm curious why the amount tripped an alarm?

 

I work at a bank and have worked at more than one company. That’s not how banks work. There’s no amount that would trigger any kind of alarm. Just a series of overrides that may require a second pair of eyes depending on the level of seniority of the teller. Now I can kind of see why maybe a note on the back of the slip might give pause but even then again everyday I’d say no less than 5 people a day write these real intricate notes on their slips.

 

I could swear the article said alarm before; maybe they updated the article? Or maybe I misread it earlier, I dunno.

I'm guessing what happened then is like you said, that there was an alert that maybe required an override to withdraw that amount? And the teller made an incorrect judgement?

 

Well the story says the manager and the employee called the police. So I guess they both thought it was a robbery attempt.

 

Well I assume the employee told the manager, and the manager just didn't stop to check the situation and just took the employee at their word.

Not that it really matters at all.

Pretty big plot twist leak

Kilmonger will appear in one scene and it’s in the astral plane. Riri visits him because he is her father.

 

I mean, there's been a ton of "leaks" that turned out to be false, so let's not get crazy just yet.

Would be cool and interesting if true though.

 

With the script having 5 rewrites last year I’m sure some leaks will not turn out true. I wouldn’t hate it if this one is true.

 

Some of the concept art for this has looked pretty dope.

 

Plot summary spoiler

A team is searching for vibranium with the help of a device created by Riri Williams. Namor becomes aware and asks Wakanda for help but is declined. T’Challa passes away from a sickness.

Namor pursues Riri and Wakanda protects her as well as upgrading her suit.

War between Atlantis and Wakanda begins. Ramonda is killed. Shuri makes an artificial heart-shaped herb and goes to the astral plane. Erik is there and he convinces her to take up the mantle.

Shuri, as the new Black Panther, defeats Namor. M’Baku becomes the new King of Wakanda while Shuri takes more responsibility as Black Panther. Nakia reveals the son she had with T’Challa.

Doom is revealed to be the one who orchestrated the team from the beginning of the film.

this movie is gonna be a hot mess. feel bad for Coogler having to juggle all the shit he did on this one

 

i genuinely do not believe they are introducing the biggest anti-hero and one of the biggest villains in the universe in a movie coming out in four months and they haven’t announced either actor yet

 

To be fair, Tenoch Huerta being cast as Namor has been a constant rumor for months now.

I'm skeptical of this plot leak, but plot leaks for the last three movies have been fairly accurate, so I dunno what to make of it. There's certainly items here I'm not thrilled about.
