I know it’s wishful thinking, but I’d love to see new Gaslight Anthem and Brian solo material. Both have a lot to offer and if both existed maybe it alleviates some of pressure and leaves room for everything else everyone’s involved in/time for family

Benny recently mentioned on his podcast that he’s been working on a new project with Jason Shevchuk. Stoked on that but between this and the new Mercy Union record, I’d be real surprised if this was true. Praying I’m wrong though.

There also hasn’t been any Forgivers news in a bit which is strange.

Saw Brian in Red Bank the other night, first of two shows back in his home state.

Was a little disappointed we didn't get any preferential treatment...still a very solid show and I'm a fan of all of his work but I see from previous setlists on this tour that he threw a couple gaslight songs in there (Blue Jeans, American Slang, Mae). We didn't get any nor an encore. Not complaining but nitpicking a tad.

I realize it’s just a bit pick. You got 3 Crowes songs and honestly encores can be silly if the artist doesn’t need a quick breather or there is a need to make a huge musical shift. It’d take 17 songs over or 14 songs, and encore and then 2 more songs. Looks like it was a reflection of all 3 albums.

He hasn’t done encores in forever.

I was at the same show and was super happy with the setlist. 14 songs spread out from his three original albums, plus 3 from The Horrible Crowes, was exactly what I was hoping for based on previous shows on the tour. However, my friend who went with me was really bummed there were no Gaslight songs.

it seems really important to brian that he separates his solo work from gaslight. sure every here and there he'll throw in the 59 sound, or blue jeans, or play one or two TGA songs in his set, but I definitely understand if he would prefer to showcase his own work rather than just get out there and play gaslight songs for 2 hours. i mean, he already has 3 solo albums released to make a set from.

I don’t think I’d assume Brian is going to pull out a Gaslight song during a “Brian” set like your friend did. I know he has, but with having 3 solo albums adding a Crowes, gaslight song or a cover feels like it’s meant to be a nice surprise. He also played a ton of different songs within the livestreams so it’s not light he hasn’t played some of these songs (although in a different form) in a long time.

I still want new music. TGA or Solo. Night Divine was a nice little unexpected holidays time release, but I’m definitely not going to go back to it on a regular basis.

I think Local Honey is the album I most want to hear some of the additional tracks that were recorded but left off the album, even moreso than Surviving. For me, Local Honey is just missing *something*. I don't ever go back and listen to the entire album like I do with literally ever other Brian Fallon release. LH I just go back and listen to a few songs, or a lot of times just "Hard Feelings". I remember being so fired up to hear what he was recording with Peter Katis, using some of the same instruments as The National and all that.

I listened to Local Honey soooooo many times and I still feel like it’s to short. I don’t know if Brian only did 8 songs or if he held a few back. I’m pretty sure he mentioned some songs had alt versions at different speeds as he worked them out. I just know that by the time the first notes of Hard Feelings come on I always feel like I love this song but it’s happening too soon. I love 6 out of the 8 songs and like all of them. I do feel that somethings missing too in a way.

Local Honey is still a top 5 album released in the past 2+ years for me.

Was just coming here to post this. Super curious as to what this might be. My first guess would be shows. But this feels like an odd way of hinting toward that. Hah.

Site is updated with the same colors, too. It's shows or they're back for sure with something.

Wonder if maybe Brian is releasing all the streaming sets.
