The owners really wanted to add player’s meal money as part of the calculation of the luxury tax? Also the Angels, Tigers, Reds and Diamondback owners were the ones that opposed a luxury tax increase.

I think it will be a mistake for the players to agree to expanded playoffs. It gives the owners more money in their pockets and they still won’t pay the players because they won’t have to buy wins as much.
