i was exhausted by the end tbh. but they also pushed our start time back an hour because of technical difficulties.

Im watching Colin Ferrel on Hot Ones and I think his performance was my favorite. And incredible work by the makeup department.

It moves pretty briskly for a three hour movie. Can’t recall a dull moment.

It definitely feels like 3 hours but it doesn't really drag at all IMO. It's just consistently engaging

Need to see it again, loved a lot, couple of issues, and agree about Colin being my favorite performance.

Also, I love Barry Keoghan, but not sure how I feel about him as the Joker. Worried about what you could see of his look too, but I’m sure that could change by the time they film the next one.

I loved this. It’s the first time I’ve felt the Batman I love from the comics/Arkham games on screen. Really excited to see even more of this universe moving forward.

Really enjoyed this. Gotta process more before I rank it in any way, but it’s gonna be up there.

it did feel long to me, but I also wanted more, so figure that one out.

It was very immersive, but it was giving a very dark, nearly all depressing, corrupt world to be immersed in. There is a kernel of hope at the end, but man much of this is very bleak. I’ve been super depressed recently so I felt right at home but could see it throwing off some people potentially.

Pattinson killed it. He may be my new favorite live action Batman. I liked the subtle difference between his Bruce and Batman voice. Was funny when he was talking as Bruce on the phone while in costume. Voice was a big upgrade from Bale’s. I was constantly drawn to his eyes during his closeups and feel like he did a lot with that alone.

Enjoyed Zoe a lot. I would have liked a little more with her, but she is in it a good bit. I like that she is mostly a good person, which isn’t really new, but I like how they treated her here.

I also liked Dano. He worked for me. Even the potentially more cringe moments where he loses control and screams. Can see that irking some people, but it worked for me and showed that this isn’t just a smart dude who wants to reveal truth. He is legit crazy, too.

Farrell was great in what little he had to do. Though he was in it more than I thought he’d be based on what I’d heard before hand. He’s set up to get a lot more to do.

Wright was a great Gordon. Was fun to see him and Bats do so much together.

Thought what they did with the Wayne’s was interesting. Though I kind of want more info about Martha and her treatments. Having Thomas inadvertently getting someone killed and rocking Bruce’s world view was effective. If it had stayed at that I might have had a problem with it. But having him and Martha get killed because he was going to go to the cops was good. It was used to shake up Bats but will allow him to still look up to his parents and realize everyone makes mistakes but it matters what you do after them that defines you.

Loved how Brutal Bats was. My favorite action set piece was the rafters fight at the end. The shot of him dropping through the roof was chef’s kiss. I could watch the sequence on a loop. Glad most of that was kept out of the trailers.

Enjoyed the unspoken relationship between Bats and the mayors son. Bruce focusing on him makes sense for the obvious reasons. I like that he helps save him both as Bruce and then as Bats. Having the son be the first one to trust Bats was just a perfect little end note for the pair.

I oddly wanted more Alfred interactions, especially after the reveal about the Wayne’s but I think after the hospital scene he is out of the movie.

I expected my theater to be popping when I left the theater, but it was dead. Which is odd for what was supposed to be a huge movie. Obviously, my theater doesn’t prove anything, but it’s generally busier for a movie like this. I hope it makes all the money because I want more of this world. Also my theater is losing like 6 movies tomorrow for this. There are only 4 movies staying and one only has a single showing a day, every other theater and showing is this.

I guess that’s all I have for now. Still thinking about it all.

Oh and thank god we didn’t see the Wayne’s die. After Snyder’s slo mo with special zoom in’s of the gun, I never need to see it again.

I could have done with the Joker at the end, but I get why they couldn’t help themselves.

There were people dressed up as Batman doing the voice before the movie started. I’ve missed this lol

a miracle happened where no one made a sound during the whole movie, even though the theater was mostly full

My theater was super quiet, I fucking loved it. There were only 4 other people in my screening. Was such a welcome relief after No Way Home where people could not shut the fuck up. Yelling over dialogue and literally speaking in a normal voice to just say what they are seeing on screen. Like when Peter was investigating the power lines and they show sand shifting around in the background, multiple people just said “sandman!”. It was crucial for them to speak every thought they had. Just trash people.

Enjoyed the hell out of this. Definitely going to have to sit on it a bit longer but I think it's maybe my favorite Batman movie?

Thought Pattinson and Kravitz were great and Farrell was unrecognizable and definitely an MVP. Dano was really good too. Also will always love seeing Turturro in things.

Still not sure how I feel about that Keoghan Joker scene... though.

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

love the glimpse of Keoghan honestly. he underplayed it a lot more than I was expecting which was a nice contrast to Dano who... yeah

also thinking about it the usage of Alfred is my main complaint about this movie. feels like they did him super dirty and maybe Serkis just wasn't right for it, as much as I'm generally a fan of his

I almost laughed at Alfred coming out of a coma and the first thing Bruce said is “You lied to me.” Like damn, dude. He just took a bomb for you, the least you can do is say “I’m glad you’re alive.”

I wish they would have shown us how Riddler figured out who Bats was. We know he somehow figured out the corruption through a ledger at his work, but unless I missed it, it doesn’t really say how he connected Bruce to Batman.

Didn’t he not connect that Bruce was Batman because he thought Riddler and Batman were a team the whole time that was taking down the corrupt big wigs in Gotham and Bruce was one of the final targets?

Your wording is confusing me for some reason. But he clearly knows Bruce is Batman. But we aren’t shown how or when he finds out.
