Very much looking forward to the new LP but I wasn’t blown away by Heavy Heart. It’s not bad, it just didn’t hit me as hard as something like Weights or most tracks off Live Forever.

I do remember enjoying all the new tracks he played during a warm up show right before his performance at Outsidelands last year so I’m sure I’ll be hyped off the new record.

The songs I do remember him playing were stronger than this IMO.

I have no doubt the next LP will be bananas haha

Just looked at the set from the September 8 show and I stand corrected about 4 new songs he played 3 new songs:

Weights (which I don't believe was publicly released at that point),
LA Tees
Wants, Needs

 

My thoughts going into this were “oh sure this will be good but he can’t possibly top Live Forever”.

Then I heard this song lmao

 

ive been hearing the name for years and the couple songs i have heard were pretty good but ive never listened much beyond that. new single is fucking sick though.

Song is stunning. He seamlessly melds multiple genres so so so well. One of the best tracks I've heard this year, stoked for this LP.

 

Just getting around to the single — love how it already feels more refined than anything he’s done while still being a step up. This one’s gonna be crazy live, he’s gotta go up the octave vocally during those choruses and it’s gonna be all chills
