I do the same thing with my toddler

 

meh I live 5 miles from a nuke plant and have always been afraid of some disaster, knowing alllllll of the fail safes. My Mom worked there and always said “if you see the blue, it’s too late”..our schools Evacuation plan was basically load up the busses and go 25 miles south

 

I’ve spent so excessively lately that if there’s not a nuclear war, I need to go on a budget.

 

I know how this is based on alcohol, but it’s weird. I’ll spend all day working alone, convinced a nuclear bomb is going to hit at any point, then meet friends for drinks and be quickly convinced that I’ll never die.

Also the covid numbers there are gonna be rough after all this. How many people are gonna die from covid in these shelters? How many of these kids? Etc

Decided to check in on some influential self-described progressive media this morning, starting with a couple Crooked Media podcasts. Gotta say I’m glad to hear Pod Save America pushing a multifaceted and sensitive line of thought that never loses sight of opposing escalation/intervention.

What do you all follow for keeping a finger on the pulse of the average liberal and progressive attitudes?

 

my advice would be not to listen to anything a self-described progressive or liberal says about anything ever

 

I mean sure if you want to willingly fortify your own echo chamber lol

 

i see myself as a progressive and dont think people should listen to me. the argument holds up tbh
