Can anyone do me a favor and see if you can access RT? Particularly if Cox is your ISP. It's been targeted by cyberattacks but 2 people I know on Cox haven't been able to access it for about 36 hours only on their Cox wifi, fine on data. Wondering if ISPs are gonna start blocking it lol and also why? Don't think anyone asked them to do that lol

as someone getting back into russian social media after being out of it for a while, this is tracking with what i'm seeing. even in 2014, there was a big #КрымНаш campaign, a lot of social media support for annexing Crimea, a lot of vocal athletes, other famous people.

This has been quite different. Yury Dud specifically has a massive YouTube channel, almost 10 million subscribers. His incredibly long interviews regularly get 10+ million views. He has documentaries on HIV in Russia and Kolyma, a region about as far away as possible from Moscow that was a well-known labor camp location — these videos have 20+ million views. Massive massive influence.
