You sure? Last year’s lineup had All Time Low… but I get it. My thought process was that MGK has a level of popularity that could help the festival grow.

 

Y'all, MGK is definitely not on the lineup, calm down. I just mentioned it to point out how uncredible the rumors are.

 

ND/SC makes a ton of sense. MGK seems too big and has too much an ego to headline a fest full of bands that are much smaller than him.

Last I heard it was Mayday Parade / Neck Deep / PVRIS / Waterparks

 

man, Pvris never really panned out huh? I mean obviously they can draw but when their hype was big like 7 years ago, people thought they’d be the new paramore

 

Yeah, I remember when they were opening for FOB's arena tour & headlining 1200 cap venues. I was super pumped for them, but last I saw them was in a 800 cap bar. It also sucks that COVID messed up their big tour with Halsey.

 

Doesn’t help wither that FBR butchered their last album rollout and that the only consistent member in that band is Lynn

Also...Machine Gun Kelly is headlining and selling out amphitheaters at this point. Unless they decide to do a GIANT tour and change the entire dynamic of it now, I can't imagine he'd even make sense for parking lots.

 

Looks like plenty of people have pointed it out already, but yeah MGK is an ampitheater artist now. Sad Summer typically does venues that are like 1/3rd the size. He's not on this unless they greatly increased their budget.

Neck Deep & State Champs seems like a logical rumor, even if I'm not a fan of either. Stand Atlantic on the undercard would definitely peak my interest though.

 

I find it odd if Pvris is on Sad Summer it seems like they have tried to stay away from that scene since after their first record but it would be cool if they are

Yeah I remember when they were blowing up in 2013/14 because of that Warped Roadies show on Fuse (anyone else remember that show? Haha) and Cool Kids. I thought they for sure were gonna get huge

It's funny because when they released their first EP (which was more poppunk-ish) everyone compared them to Paramore so then they changed their style completely and added more electronic elements, just after Paramore did almost the same thing.
