I want so badly to believe that people understand why this isn’t Libya or Kuwait, but it’s remarkable how much the NFZ talk has blossomed in just days.

I hope to eventually read at least a little analysis on how the leadership class in America is still wearing Cold War-tinted goggles.

I've definitely noticed food prices going up around here. Living with my parents our rent arrangement is basically I pay for all the food and then we agree not to worry about how much electricity or heat I'm using lol and those bills have definitely gone up

 

Yeah for sure…but the general public is too…lazy? Dumb? Busy? Idk what the right word is…to realize their food inflation is happening because we have increased demand as more people feel more comfortable doing more stuff now that they’re vaccinated, but we can ramp up supply to meet it because too many people are sick and/or are refusing to put themselves in danger of getting infected to work a backbreaking job for shit pay and the businesses are not raising pay enough to get people to do it. It’s a lot easier to just blame Biden/the government for that.

 

i think a lot of people only pay attention to and actually care about results, not about what politicians do
