I'm seeing The Maine at HOB Chicago and I'm already not looking forward to the venue based on what I've heard lmao

 

It's just terribly laid out, I hate where it is in the city and everything is so fucking expensive.

 

I used to not get the hate for House of Blues until I stopped showing up to shows super early. Once the floor fills up it becomes such a struggle to find a decent spot. And then it's such a hassle to go to the bathroom or get drinks or do anything at all really once you're down there.

Although location wise I can't pretend it's not ideal for me since I am literally looking at it right now from my office

 

I had the same issue with HOB Cleveland when I saw Motion City there. I absolutely hate how the fucking balcony lays over half the floor so the sightlines are atrocious. Literally never want to go back there if need be haha.

 

saw pinegrove last night, tigers jaw a couple weeks ago, seeing poppy and lorde next month. no other planned shows for march but who knows!

 

After all these years, I finally got to see Tigers Jaw live last night. Having Downhaul as support for the Richmond date was also killer.

Next up? The Wonder Years/Spanish Love Songs/Origami Angel/Save Face in RVA in 10 days!

 

Just saw Brian Fallon last night at the last night of his tour in Red Bank, NJ. I guess I had big expectations for last night and hometown show for him, but it was just “ok.” Worriers were fantastic, but Fallon and band just lacked energy and honestly another band member like acoustic guitar filling out the sound.

Anyway, seeing Tigers Jaw Tuesday night at Crossroads in Garwood. Very stoked for this intimate show.
