Nebulizers are great because the medicine is a steroid and after use you get the jitters

 

My hospital went back to totally normal visiting policy. Covid patients can’t have visitors still but we don’t have any upstairs. People coming in for outpatient labs/imaging/etc aren’t being screened for symptoms anymore.

Im dreading Monday because ILs mask mandate expires and we’re going to be repeating “That doesn’t apply here” ALL DAMN DAY.

 

Well, feeling a little hopeful of my arm. Waiting on x-ray results to be safe, but the doctor thinks it's probably a bad muscle or tendon tear and wants to refer me to orthopedics for an MRI or ultrasound?

Still sucks, but I really cannot afford to be in a cast for my job so hoping that's it

My “optimistic” view would be that, if Putin is so insane that MAD wouldn’t stop him from using nukes, then I assume there are some very rich oligarchs and some generals that would stop him.

 

It really is terrifying. Much as I've been moved by the world (including much of the Russian population) largely unifying to reject the atrocities being committed and the resistance that Ukraine has been able to put up, there was a part of me that was almost hoping that it would like the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, where they just walked in to the major cities without a fight. It would be a terrible outcome for a country trying to escape Russia's grasp, but thinking about how bad this could still get, I really do worry that the alternative is even worse. Maybe still hope that Putin backs down before it gets to that, but every indication is just the opposite
