This is gonna end with Putin getting what he wants with very few actual consequences. How sad

Small pet peeve that’s totally unimportant right now…

As I see clips of Biden standing there while Judge Jackson speaks…it highly annoys me how much he squints when he’s at the mic. Is it because of the bright lights or because of eyesight? If it’s an eyesight thing I wish he’d just get some glasses instead.

  6. I mean if you know anything about the relationship between Lukashenko and the Kremlin then you know that level of pressure does not exist without violence. “Puppet state” is an exceptionally polite understatement of Belarus’s government.

  13. I think they’re saying Ukraine *intends to discuss* ceasefire at the talks that are not yet confirmed to be happening tomorrow.

Fairly certain negotiations will go nowhere

Would negotiations be in-person? I'd worry that Zelenskyy would be immediately arrested or worse

  16. There’s a fantasy scenario where they manage to wrangle a few days’ peace out of it while securing other aid, but yeah.

i don’t know for sure but they may be the only two Jewish heads of state around the world, so it makes a little sense from that standpoint

With them attacking from all sides and on land, sea & air I can't really think of any type of neutral ground he'd be able to find in Ukraine given that they're apparently out to kill him and his family. Insane situation.

well I would presume he would fly out the western side of the nation where there’s no action and make his way to whatever neutral ground that way. They apparently insisted on Poland earlier today

  25. Yeah I’m not inclined to think Bennett is really the mediator that liberal democracies should want here but I’m pretty comfortable with taking an optimistic view of whatever Zelensky feels will work for him.
