Going to assume as the pandemic goes on the digital shift has only intensified.

that said spider-man is a far bigger franchise than Horizon can ever hope to be.

  8. jk i did another couple runs. Discovered Graveyard and Forgotten Sepulcher, the latter of which was just as awful as I'd anticipated.

    Player's Log: Psycho-Pass.

My previous experience with visual novels was limited to games like Ace Attorney, Zero Escape, and Danganronpa, where the "sit back and read" portions are very much interspersed with actual gameplay to keep me engaged.

This is very clearly not that, and while I do actually have quite a few of these types of VNs for one reason or another, this is my first time really sitting down and playing one with the intent to complete it.

It's not unentertaining. Like I said earlier, it's fun just being in the Psycho-Pass world and basically watching an extension of Season 1. But it is quite a long time between decisions, so I'm not really being engaged as much as I'd like.

The game begins by giving you a choice between characters. Both are original characters for the game; one an inspector and another an enforcer.

I'm not sure yet how much changes choosing one vs. another, but to fully complete the game, I have to do two full runs as the inspector and three as the enforcer, making saves in specific points so that once I complete a run, I can load a save and go down the other side of the pants leg, as it were, and collect all the possible endings.

This is going to take more time than I expected.

Finished Re8 tonight. Yeah, 7 is def the better game overall. 8 just really lost me from the factory onwards

As someone who lost interest in RE when 4 came out, I loved 7 for its return to the series' survival horror roots. Even though I liked 8 it made me disappointed to see that they're already moving away from that formula to a more 4-influenced type of game. Still excited to see where they take things next though!

I’m very excited for the idea of a remake of 4 with the sensibilities of RE2make.

Whatever you want to call it, it still was a lot more action oriented and overall a huge departure from what came before. But sure, it had a few horror moments. At least the part with the regeneradors.
