I swear I complain about that venue more than I've ever complained about anything on this site lol.

I usually avoid it at all costs but I'm definitely going a minimum of 3 times in the near future (The Story So Far, New Found Glory, Motion City Soundtrack) and I'm less than excited

I tolerate T5 because it’s the closest NYC venue for me living outside the city. It’s an easy drive and I get too anxious when I take the train for a concert about missing departure times when the show ends.

Man I've never had a venue take a long time to check my vaccination card. Longest issue I've had is purse checks which is kind of always a thing. Every event I've been to has been good about having staff to go down the lines and check cards and stuff for a pretty painless entry, if there's a line at all. I get the bigger the event the more of a process it is, but ur guests can't come to the festival next year and spend their $ if they're dead

Most places have to get your ID checked to drink anyway, checking for a vaccine takes maybe 5 seconds longer. So for every 20 attendees that's (roughly) 1 extra minute, 5 minutes per 100 people. That's not even a minor inconvenience

sad summer last year took FOREVER to check vax cards and get people in

Lucy Dacus’s show in Kansas took a long time because they’re understaffed and it was a sold out show.

I don’t think it’s the venues taking a long time checking, I think it’s dumbasses who aren’t prepared or don’t read the policies ahead of time that hold the line up. That’s been my experience a few times already, I’ll get up to the front and I’ll see someone arguing with the security staff about how their test result is a day too old or something like that.

    Things have changed.

Rest assured, there are STILL people who A) don't have their card B) want to argue with the venue about it – and that holds stuff up.

No matter how many times they say it and no matter how long this has been going on, people are always going to forget to have their vax cards and/or IDs ready to go to help the staff as well. Obviously that shouldn’t be a deterrent from like, doing the right thing though. I was at a show last week where staff walked the line multiple times before doors open asking people to have everything ready to make entry run smoothly and were mostly ignored. And if venues are understaffed for any of the various and valid reasons, it’s a nightmare. None of that justifies just trashing all precautions though.

Edit: a few others beat me to it so this is redundant, whoops

Does anyone know what allegations came out with Jail Socks? Bearings just dropped them from their tour but I can’t find anything.

Uggggghhh their album was my AOTY last year. I'm glad they were able to get out of the situation & found the courage to come forward about it

I’ve been to a few shows including phoney ridgers that the line was insane due to checking vax cards.

Yeah now that i think of it, my sister was one of those ppl. She remembered her Vax card but for some reason didn't think to bring her ID (even tho she had mentioned she wanted to drink at the show lol) and held up the line while she luckily found a photo of her ID on her phone that they accepted, since we drove three hours to go to the show and couldn't just go home and grab it. Idk how people aren't prepared! It's almost like they're not completely riddled with anxiety like quadruple checking that they have everything... can't relate

  21. I forgot my vax card this summer at a show almost an hour away that I was already late to on my way in, thankfully they were accepting photographs but also not thankful for that because that's fucking awful practice lol. Don't understand the point if you're not looking at the real card + photo ID

I went to a show on Sunday and I’m pretty sure the 3 dudes in front of me had fake vax card photos.

When I got my first vax march of last year the nurse told me to keep my real card safe and not keep it on me, so it’s weird how that whole thing flipped
