Riders Republic is a solid title. I'm not sure if it has a big enough playerbase to keep it around, though. It was on sale for 50% off last weekend, so I had to grab it.

 

Hoping that one hits gamepass soon lol

Blighttown is so confusing I was getting lost and since it’s such a dark area even with my brightness turned up I still couldn’t even find the boss or where to go.

 

yeah they're definitely becoming more of a collector item, with steelbooks etc. that's pretty much the only time I'll buy physical now, if it's part of a special edition.

 

I haven’t bough a non-Switch game in years but when I did I purely looked at the price and physical was usually cheaper

 

They are usually always cheaper but digital releases usually go down in price fairly quickly.

 

I’ve said this before, but I’ll buy physical games as long as I can, although I don’t really buy many games nowadays because of GP.

Games are $90 new here, so I like to buy physical and re-sell them for at least $30-$50 (depending how new they still are when I’m finished with them) and recoup some of the cost. Not a collector whatsoever.

Blighttown has to be one of the most frustrating areas in any game from someone that’s experiencing it for the first time.

There’s a lot of “bad” areas in Souls games and imo most of them are in the first game.

Blighttown, Tomb of the Giants, Sens Fortress and Lost Izalith are all enraging your first time through.

 

the only good part about that level is half the enemies get glitched into the walls so I don’t have to fight as much

 

Dark Souls 2 has some fucking bad ones too. Frigid Outskirts and Black Gulch sucked.

 

There was an article written about the top 10 worst areas in the Souls games and Blighttown won by a landslide.

Tomb of the Giants was brutal, the area before was supposed to drop something to light up the area and it didn't fuckin drop for me, I did it in pitch black.


Iron Keep in DS2 was incredibly annoying for me.

 

Ok, this is awesome! I picked up the Sonic one. Next up:

 

I feel like a dummy because I spent an hour on the ground of blighttown looking for the bonfire because I saw a sign say it’s near by and I never found it and I eventually died and then now I literally just noticed it in a little cave. I had walked by it in my first run of it.
