Probably because the tour is too much of a financial risk/burden. They booked these venues with the expectation of having SF draw a good amount of their fans. WCAR/SF have a mostly differing fanbase that makes sense for a tour like this. Without having SF help draw the older/nostalgia based crowd this tour would draw considerably less I assume. I still can’t believe they booked the Roseland. No way this tour wouldn’t lose money playing a venue that big without SF.

Unfortunately a lot of the venues booked for this tour are too big for WCAR to play as the sole headliner, so it wouldn’t really work in their favor

I had tickets to this tour and was really really excited to see Senses Fail, Counterparts, and SySC

I think WCAR should get like Sleeping with Sirens to co-headline and even though I don’t like them add Crown The Empire as direct support. I feel like a WCAR/SWS/CTE/Counterparts/SYSC will sell

I...gotta think there's more to this Senses Fail tour thing, right? I can't imagine they just said "lmao sorry, shits canned, sucks to suck".

Like, the backlash from the community can't possibly be worth whatever opener slot they snagged...right?

The ONLY thing I can think that would maybe make this kind of dickery seem worth it would be opening on the MCR reunion tour (I know The Used have been rumored for it for a while but maybe they dropped or it’s a 3 band bill now).

I already think less of Senses Fail now, but if it’s anything short of this I’m really gonna lose all respect for them.

I was thinking MCR too, but their first show in mid-May, there's no way SF dropped their March/April tour for it.

it has to be a summer arena/shed tour and even then there is no excuse. Like they got told they can’t tour these dates before the tour or something. But it is the wrong thing to do. These bands most likely already spent money on merch/travel arrangements etc

This is what my mind first went to. I was like “what? Did they get booked to open for MCR or something?”

But really, no matter what band they’re actually opening for at this point, I don’t think they’ll be winning a lot of new fans, considering how much this situation blew up

    Things have changed.

They’re not opening for MCR lol

Speaking of MCR though, there might be some sort of show/fest announcement for them on Wednesday.

All I know is that Crooked Teeth has been tweeting about opening for a band called "** ******** *******" and says that show will be announced on Wednesday, so take that for what you will.

It's my first time hearing about Crooked Teeth and I would be dissapointed if he is opening for MCR

  13. I can promise you they aren’t opening for MCR. MCR openers have been locked for a minute so unless something drastic has changed, it’s not that.

WCAR is gonna try to salvage some of these shows at least.

Yeah I mean it's a shitty situation all around but I'd have to imagine there's more to it like @natefoundglory said

Aside from the Counterpart tweets, there’s also no official statements about the tour being cancelled from any of the other bands yet. So we’ll just have to see what comes out in the next few days

are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

Maybe Senses Fail is touring with The 1975 because they both realized Counterparts can play CIRCLES around them.

Aftershock in Sacramento is getting announced on Wed and MCR has pretty much been confirmed to be playing.

Saw SKSK/DRUGS last night at the Bottom Lounge, place was packed and crazy for DRUGS. After they finished their set a good chunk of the crowd left, I would say probably about 20% of the crowd. With all the talk here about how Craig Owens can't sell tickets, it didn't seem like that was really the case.

SKSK did bunch of new songs, they mentioned their new single comes out on Tuesday.

Glasslands, Secrets and Dead American all did 20 minutes instead of 30 which was bullshit, probably because it was an all ages show and there was a curfew.

All setlists are up at setlist.fm if anyone is interested.

How did Kurt sound with SKSK? I'm curious to see them pushing new songs but without a legit new vocalist.
