To the vast majority, CRT just means "stuff about black people that I don't want to hear about."

No. Because he loves Eminem (the only rapper he likes) and Mary J Blige was “thick”.

Exactly, that's what I mean. But every time someone on the right complains about CRT the first, and vast majority of the responses on the left are "But that's not even CRT!!!" which is not even close to the point.

I know it's tiring but I honestly approve the US's approach of full disclosure of Russian movements and intentions. It's working so far.

Like an article I read the other day, it's already different from Iraq because the pretext is not of invading but of preventing invasion.

Public opinion and awareness are clearly more important here than one would think, or else, Crimea wouldn't have happened the way it did and Russia would have already invaded by now. Kind of cool that this is being avoided through public disclosure of intelligence.

What's racist about it? Is it not a valid reason to live in the suburbs because you don't want the density of the city?

Single family zoning laws have a long history of being cloaks for racist policies.

Also, speaking of single-family zoning, it's terrible for the environment.

Thank you notes are dumb if it's just a "thank you for your time!" I think they're useful in some cases though.

Ideally, they should shortly and succinctly summarize what you got from the interview and why you think you're a good fit. Like, "I learned A, B, C about the role during the interview and think I am a good fit because of my experience with X software and goals to learn about Y and Z. What you said about the Blip-Blop machine and pain points related to it really resonate with my experience, and I think my skill set would help handle that Blip-Blop issue."

I'd like to get rid of cover letters. Just look at my resume, all the same info is there.

Again though, what is racist about saying I like the laws that provide for a less densely populated neighborhood full of houses vs giant apartment complexes and parking decks? I understand what housing laws have inadvertently (and often purposefully done), but I also don't think that it's a fair assessment to say that people who want their neighborhood to remain the way it is, structurally as in the construction of it, is insane and racist... I hate the idea of living in the suburbs, I live smack in the middle of a major city, but I don't judge people who enjoy a different way of living and would shudder at the traffic and style of my living arrangements.

I sent a lady a picture of my dog in a thank you letter after she said she wanted to see him. She never got back to me. I reached out a month later and she told me I didn't have the experience. Last time I show any prospective employers my best boy.

    Fuck cover letters

Through 2018 and all of 2019 I probably sent out nearly 200 applications, each with it's own cover letter. Thankfully I got it down to enough of a science where I could plug and play certain sentences and paragraphs, where I could then get them done pretty quick

I'm a bit torn because I don't love new apartment buildings where I am. Really just because it's a densely populated, historic downtown full of old architecture, and I hate to see it get torn down. The city never addresses parking issues in these new complexes either, so downtown runs out of parking for the general public. It has nothing to do with the type of people who move into those buildings (but frankly, you have to be well-off to live in most of them anyways since it's a hot spot)

    Not here. Isn't happening. Supporter

There’s a ton of dog whistling in that flyer, particular the fear of turning suburbia into “urban centers.” Suburbia is not going to be a crowded city because of a few apartment buildings and affordable housing but you may have to look at a few people who don’t look like you. Btw housing laws haven’t exactly inadvertently discriminated, it was always pretty direct. The bottom line is poor people should have an opportunity to move into the suburbs if they want, housing laws shouldn’t keep them out. And if you want to have a discussion about it scaremongering about your suburb being urban should be called out for being racist.

  24. Also these days all resumes/cover letters get sucked up into software like Lever, and like I put a lot of effort into the resume looking good, but really should I just shrink the font so it looks like ass but I can throw a billion of the right terms into it so it gets a better chance at being screened? Such an annoying ass process.
