TBH the last part of the article here seems to nail it:

1. In the medium-long term, investment in renewables
2. In the short term....seems like becoming better friends with Iran is the obvious choice. I mean, at this point, yeah the religious leaders will say death to america but like....the 9/11 terrorists were largely Saudi. Saudi's society doesn't seem much less repressive or violent (See: Khashoggi) than Iran's, so there's no "moral" reason not to, etc. It just makes sense.

But because Israel hates them more than the Saudis or whatever...

 

Ah yes, I am sure these employees acted entirely of their own accord and thought "Hmm, let's risk our lives, careers, and reputations to make more money for our corporate bosses. This is 100% our idea and a great one at that."

I keep hearing the craziest post COVID stories from people around me still having symptoms ranging from your basic sustained loss of taste/smell to chunks of hair falling out and brain fog that sounds suspiciously like a stroke.

As cheesy as it sounds, it wouldn't hurt to have one of those ad campaigns like the "you don't always die from tobacco" ones addressing all of the insane long haul symptoms. Want to lose 40% of your senses? Go ahead! Get COVID!
