They Want My Soul is my favorite but Series of Sneaks might be second. Has the energy of a Pixies album.

Lol. One of my all time favorite bands. You do poorly with other peoples opinions.

    The rivalry is back on

This is a lot of fun — makes me happy that they’re still making good music that doesn’t just feel like a rehash of what they’ve already done on album 10

Also snagged tickets for Milwaukee. Can’t wait to see them rip through some of these guitar parts live.

I will be okay. everything Supporter

I just listened to ga ga ga ga ga today for the first time. I have heard they want my soul. Neither really stick with me. What’s the best album that will stick with me?

This may not be a popular choice, but see what Girls Can Tell does for you.

that first 10 secs clearly throws back to loads of songs, but the guitar pre 1st verse is “it’s my life” to a T (moreso no doubt’s cover than the original track) From there I can’t shake the counting crows interjections (for obvious reasons).

    agree it’s a good track

If you're a Spoon fan, there are no "bad" records. Just ones you haven't gotten into yet. I mentioned it earlier but I didn't like Transference all that much until a year or two ago (covid has destroyed my concept of time) and now it's upper tier. On the same spectrum, I have never really jived with Girls Can Tell for whatever reason. Next year at this time I may think it's their best...

I do think this has the potential to be their best since Transference though. It may be their best front to back. I think Hot Thoughts could drop the last 3 songs and TWMS has a bit of quality drop right in the middle ('Knock'/'Outlier'). Still excellent records but a bit I'd omit. This new one may be perfect.

This album has already made a solid entrance into my top 3 favorites from them. Time will tell where it goes from there.
