Playing through DS1R, I’m having quite a time trying to figure out whether what’s killing me is supposed to be difficult or just bad game design. It’s a game within a game!

 

PLEASE don’t make any more movies besides Spider-Man Sony

I think Naughty Dog was due another L. That studio has gotten so smug.

Hope the TLOU show fares better, I actually care about that.

Resubbed to Gamepass and the first thing I do is replay Spiritfarer. Idk I guess I just really missed the building and resource management aspects of it. And I wanted to see the dlc characters they added. This game is so deceptively charming. It draws you in with its pretty artwork and calming music and cute animal characters. But then as you progress in the story it forces you to say goodbye to those characters in order to gain access to new locations and abilities. I knew it would make me cry, but I feel like I'm crying a lot more than when I played it the first time. Maybe it's because twice now I somehow I have had to go to the Everdoor for two or three characters back to back, just terrible luck or timing. Maybe hrt is finally actually kicking in and I'm starting to feel things more strongly. I've often described games like Child of Light, Gris, and Ori as my comfort games, things I return to when I'm feeling particularly anxious or depressed. I don't think comfort is the right word for Spiritfarer, I think I would more accurately describe it as cathartic. I absolutely adore this game. Highly recommend if you have Gamepass and need a break from AAA games

 

Oh god I might actually get in on this Spiritfarer business. It looks excellent.

 

If you end up disliking it I'll try not to take it personally

 

Played Spiritfarer with my wife and we both thought we'd love it based on the concept and art but it really didnt hit for either of us. That concept really relies on the characters but I found so few of them likeable at all. The writing just wasnt there for me.

Ahh it's okay. Not every game is for everyone. I was just now talking about how Hollow Knight is too frustrating for me haha

 

I too adored Gris so I’m sure it’ll be fine :)

 

Just realized Horizon comes out on Friday not Tuesday like I thought! Next weekend is also a three day weekend for me

 

I'll just tell all those disabled gamers to fuck off and not play things they have a interest in for the sake of From Software's "creative vision" or because gamers view anyone who doesn't play things their way as lesser.

 

I can't believe the guy behind the Uncharted movie got handed the keys to the Jak and Daxter adaptation. I hope they can it based on these reviews.

my 13 year old brother beat hollow knight including the radiance yall are soft

there were only three moments in the game that tripped me up considerably: traitor lord, white palace, and the radiance, all of which is optional content for the harder ending anyway. anything else I was able to figure out through trial and error and eventually get through

 

the completion king did one of the best

 

I knew it wasn’t gonna be good but if it’s at least a fun bad movie, then I’m cool with that.

 

I am sure the banter between Mark and Tom (not a blink reunion) will be great but I am not expecting much beyond that.

 

I was significantly better at video games when I was 13 tbh he has an advantage. I haven’t beaten hollow knight I got kind of tired from getting lost

 

I’ll be getting the new one though it’s a great game

 

not sure what platforms it is out on, but everyone who likes Hollow Knight style games should check out GRIME.
