My build is out of control now. I tried with the rapier but still the mace is my favorite but I do love that giant machete but I also want to heal and I also want to do magic so now I do all those things poorly instead of one of them well.

For real I feel like the Rapier is the most OP weapon i've used in a Soulsborne game personally lol

I went through Bloodborne last year then DS1 for the real first time recently. Now on DS2 for kind of the first time. I'd played like 6 or 7 hours of both of them when they first came out but thats it

its sort of a natural effect from broadening the scope of their combat. its not necessarily easier but with more playstyles to choose from more people will be able to find one that suits them. plus with the freedom elden ring presents theres less chances of getting brickwalled by a single boss and stuff like that. thats what one of the new preview videos i was watching yesterday said about it coming directly from one of the devs themselves.

I think it’s this and people are becoming more comfortable in general with the combat. It’s definitely a trial and error approach with pretty much all their games. But I also get how that can be frustrating for some. I personally find it rewarding.

one of my friends is playing god of war right now and I told him god of war is how I got interested in getting into the souls games and he said him playing it made him want to pick up elden ring day one.

honestly I kinda want to re-do my souls run and just build for the ughatana because I like the quicker more than I do with the slow heavy weapons lol.

Sekiro says no, haha, Elden Ring being open world gives them wiggle room to makes things a bit easier if people really want them to be.

Remember, overall there's a rhythm to the Soulsborne games, every game has it's own flavor but they are generally the same. Slow things down, hit your enemies less and slower, don't go for that one extra hit, be patient. It will click at some point. You're going to die a lot one way or another.

Yes, you will die in a SoulsBorne game. It’s part of the experience!

Anyone who hasn’t thrown their controller from falling in Blighttown hasnt lived. Haha!

so that’s why it’s called ready to die but yeah now I’m re-thinking my strategy of do I want a heavy strength build or more small hits and dexterity
