Seeing live footage of this stupid trucker protest at the Windsor crossing is incredibly frustrating. It is literally like a group of sixty folks who brought their kids with them. They have couches, firepits, and even a trampoline for these damn kids. There is literally a picture floating around of kids holding hands blocking the roads with their parents.

If these were First Nation folks they would have been cleared out in hours but Windors police just hanging out with the protesters from the footage I saw.

This seems to be the crux of it. People saved up a lot of money the last 2 years, lots of pent up demand, lots of making big purchases....meanwhile the supply chain is too sick to keep up with it all and American manufacturing hasn't sprung up to start making some of this stuff here.

 

There is also a ton bullshit built into that as well. A lot of this is greed and companies making record profits but instead of it being blamed on greed, it's being blamed on inflation. There are a few markets where this is not the case (ie: used cars) but a lot of this is just pure capitalistic greed being passed off as this inflation boogeyman.
