I wish my free tests would come in because I just had to spend $25 on an at home test to be told I’m positive for COVID. (Which I prob caught at work)

My managers response to the news: “What? Didn’t you have covid a few weeks ago?”

    Me: “No.”

"no, that was the rest of the world"

  3. I wonder how many more times we'll all be subject to this gaslight bullshit about how the boosted population is also the most "over-concerned" about getting/spreading Covid.

    Fucking unhinged binary.
Of course the least-concerned are the unvaxed-by-choice.
Lots of them were all for sacrificing vulnerable people at the altar of Free Commerce before Covid.

i said it on twitter but this idea that red states are full of people who only vote red is absolutely insane. the vast majority of states are some shade of purple lol blue voters exist in "middle america"!!! i grew up in a huge liberal hub there!!! and that was only one of 3 liberal hubs in my state (missouri. talking about st louis, KC and columbia), which is always considered a "red state."

but the other insane thing is the idea that those concerns ONLY APPLY TO RED VOTERS??!??! these people are just talking out of their ass and they themselves dont interact with "red state people" any more or less than i do, someone who grew up in one! they pretend to understand their concerns but most people dont care about culture war bullshit that they harp on about non stop! and 64 percent of adults in missouri have one dose! and 54 (over half!) are fully vaxxed! those arent great numbers but over half the people dont give a shit about anti vaxx rhetoric enough to actually NOT go get vaxxed. anyway im ranting but its just crazy how these people act like red states are completely monolithic in their thinking and the wants and needs the people in them actually have. its the exact same shit they claim the opposite side partakes in.

exactly, the only actual "bubble" everyone talks about exists online

  8. Matt Taibbi: Media class = Elitist pricks.

also Matt Taibbi: I define the population of a state as the 2-4% of them who don’t always vote the same and that has nothing to do with media elitism tyvm

its fun when people who have never had a career outside of media like bari weiss or matt taibbi rail against the 'media class' as though it doesnt include them lol

But also, why actually did Hitler do what he did? Like really, cause we don't know at all, apparently, so he would definitely be a good dinner guest so we could get to the bottom of the why.

Hey, Nate actually got something for once.

What All these morons really want is for everyone else to ignore the thousands of American deaths a day and go back to living life like it was before the pandemic and pretending it all doesn’t exist. And the fact that people aren’t doing that fast enough for them is making them feel very angry and guilty

Parents are sending their kids maskless at the two districts here (IL) after that judges restraining order passed….that doesn’t apply here because they aren’t listed in the lawsuit…and now they’re mad because they’re making the kids e-learn in the auditoriums and libraries spread out. Lots of “here comes mama bear” posts. I’m really feeling for the board members..2 of which are a firefighter and a local pharmacist. 2 professions on the front lines since day 1.

also it would be nice if I could get my usps tests. I doubt they ever show up. I test weekly and I’m running low.

I don't know why that guy won't just squeeze that fleshy part of his hand that Gordon Ramsay presses on to check if a steak is medium rare so that he can breathe again... It's so frustrating to watch him suffer like that so needlessly when there is such an easy solution right in front of him. I guess you have to respect his conviction though.

When I quit my job of ten years in mid-December, you know how many emails I sent over that timeframe? I checked the record in Outlook - 56,460. My job was basically getting paid to send emails
