    fookin' finally.

Really looking forward to this. Think it'll follow in the footsteps of Woodstock, with more pop leanings?

with the key art like that, it makes me feel very Satanic Satanist vibes

I hope it’s better and just overall more realized than Woodstock. That album has some bangers but it’s so half baked compared to the rest of their work.

What’s everyone favorite PTM record? I think Evil Friends is still my #1 with Satanic Satanist being a VERY close #2

American Ghetto is basically a mixtape, right?

It's how I think about it usually, I don't typically think of it as one of the main albums. Most of the tracks are Satanic leftovers that John put together mostly on his own in a 10 day period.

American Ghetto has some bangers like The Dead Dog, 60 Years, and All My People..but definitely a lot of filler.

Would have been better as an EP.

from what i remember, Satanic Satanist was the first album they did most of the writing ahead of time for and spent a lot of time on. the albums before were created on the spot in the studio more quickly. American Ghetto was recorded right after Satanic Satanist and John wanted to do something spontaneous and inspired by hip hop beats. i don't think the other members of the band played much on it and it was mostly a collaboration with the producer. John wrote a letter alongside the album that described it more as an experiment or extra/bonus album rather than a main release. i also wonder if it was released to fulfill their contract with Equal Vision and speed up their move to Atlantic

Yeah, loving this. It's a little "Feel It Still"-ish, which makes sense and it's a damn good song.

Story of the album he says? Are we to be gearing up for a concept album of sorts here?
