Don’t care for the undercard but The Lumineers/ Vampire Weekend is the best headliners we’ve gotten from this fest. Went last summer for Portugal the Man. Had a blast.

Anyone notice the bands TWY was playing between sets? Thought was a nice touch.

  6. They've had pretty good playlists on previous tours. Anything specific about this one? All the bands who guest on "Bar Bands" or something?

Are The Lumineers big enough to play Wrigley Field?

  12. idk about the capacity of Wrigley, but a quick look at the wikipedia page for their 2019 tour shows a lot of the same or similar venues.

They're not my jam but I assume their draw hasn't shrunk dramatically in the interim, right?

Ill be honest, I only know 'Ho Hey' and 'Ophelia', and was really surprised when I moved to the US and found out they were playing arenas, and now even more that they are playing stadiums

I think the thing about the lumineers is that they overlap so many different demographics and genres. Like it’s the kind of concert I’m sure you’ll see a lot of parents and their kids anywhere from teen all the way to someone 30.

Yeah they’ve been playing arenas for years. Huge for Caamp opening the tour. Lumineers are great live. Saw them right before the pandemic at our basketball arena. Huge crowd

I am kind of surprised how big a venue the Lumineers are playing here in Raleigh but maybe I shouldn't be. They usually play outdoor amphitheaters here but have moved to the biggest one in the area.

On another note I'm glad I got a ticket for the NIN show here, kinda bummed it was all seated as far as I could tell but no huge deal.

I slowly got into the Lumineers after hearing their singles and they’re really great songwriters. I think they’re especially respected in that “singer/songwriter” fan base, with a ton of cross-over appeal as well.

Having Gregory Alan Isakov on my date is especially awesome because he’s one of the best songwriters out there.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Those are the only two songs I know too and was also shocked. I would’ve thought they were a Greek Theater-level band. Not a Crypto Arena* band lol

*god I hate calling it that

These are massive venues. Did they just pick up the basic Mumford crowd after they went alt-right?
